Nach Little Mix's DNA-Tour, began die Band mit den Aufnahmen ihres zweiten Studioalbums. Die Gruppe wollte mit diesem Lied ihre musikalische Fortentwicklung mit reiferen Klängen zeigen.

Little Mix performte "Move" bei The X-Factor Australien am 21. Oktober 2013. Am 3. November performten sie das Lied bei The X Factor UK und am 5. Dezember in der amerikanischen Version der Castingshow. Ebenfalls wurde das Lied bei Good Morning America in New York am 4. Februar 2014 performt und bei der The Wendy Williams Show am 6. Februar.
