Little Mix Wiki

Joan of Arc is a song by Little Mix and appears as the sixth track on their fifth album LM5. It was released on November 2, 2018 as the first promotional single.[1]

Critical Reception[]

Idolator called the song a "fiercely feminist anthem", and an "undeniable banger", while also mentioning similarities to their songs from their fourth studio album Glory Days.[2] Brooke Bajgrowicz from Billboard mentioned that "[T]he girls continue to fiercely proclaim their independence."[3] Julian Baldsing from The Line of Best Fit stated that the song "captures Little Mix in 2018 the best."[4]

Lyrics[]

Leigh-Anne:
Hey hey
(Damn)
One foot in the club everybody watch me
One pop of that booty everybody love me
Ain't the reason, I'm cocky
I make myself feel sexy

Fan of myself, I'm stanning myself
I love me so much I put my hands on myself
Fan of myself, I'm stanning myself
I love me so much I put my hands on myself

Perrie with Little Mix:
Man I feel like Cleopatra,
Joan Of Arc, Queen of Hearts (Perrie: Yeah yeah)
Tonight it's only me that matters
(Oh, you on that feminist tip?)

Little Mix:
Hell yeah, I am

Jesy (Leigh-Anne):
I don't need a man
If I'm loving you it's cos I can (Cos I can)
I don't want your cash
I put my own rock on my hand

I put my own rock on my hand
I put my own rock on my hand (What?)
I don't need a man (Nuh uh)
If I'm loving you it's cos I can

Jade with Little Mix (Jade):
(Make way for the G-O) double D, E-S-S
I spare no enemies in this dress

Jade (with Leigh-Anne):
Uh-huh, uh-huh
I make myself feel sexy
Fan of (myself), I'm stanning (myself)
I love me so much I put my (hands on myself)
Fan of (myself), I'm stanning (myself)
I love me so much can't keep my hands off myself

Perrie with Little Mix:
Man I feel like Cleopatra,
Joan Of Arc, Queen of Hearts (Perrie: Yeah yeah)
Tonight it's only me that matters
(Oh, you on that feminist tip?)

Little Mix:
Hell yeah, I am

Jade (Leigh-Anne):
I don't need a man (Need a man)
If I'm loving you it's cos I can (Cos I can)

I put my own rock on my hand
I put my own rock on my hand
I don't need a man (Nuh uh)
If I'm loving you it's (with Leigh-Anne: Cos I can)

Leigh-Anne:
Yeah one-one, take control
Drop your man down like you don't want him no more
Say two-two, freak the floor
Drop it so low that your thighs get sore
Say one-one, take control
Drop your man down like you don't want him no more
Say two-two, freak the floor
Drop it so low that your thighs get sore

Jesy (Leigh-Anne):
I don't need a man (Need a man)
If I'm loving you it's cos I can (Cos I can)
I don't want your cash (Uh huh)
I put my own rock on my hand

I put my own rock on my hand
I put my own rock on my hand
I don't need a man (Nuh uh)

Leigh-Anne (Jesy):
I don't need a man (Need a man)
If I'm loving you it's cos I can (Cos I can)
I don't want your cash
I put my own rock on my hand

I put my own rock on my hand

I don't need a man (Nuh uh)
If I'm loving you it's cos I can
