Normani Kordei Hamilton is an American singer, songwriter and dancer. She is a former member of American girl group Fifth Harmony, which is currently on hiatus, to allow Hamilton and the other members to pursue solo projects.
Biography[]
In 2012, Normani auditioned as a solo artist on the second season of The X Factor (U.S.). Having failed to qualify in the "Teens" category, she was put together with Dinah Jane Henson, Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui to form a girl group, later known to be Fifth Harmony, and placed third in the competition.
During her time in Fifth Harmony, the group released three studio albums. On May 2018, the group announced an indefinite hiatus to allow Hamilton and the other group members to pursue solo projects.
As a solo artist, Hamilton has featured on many artists songs as well as releasing dance videos, covers and shared lead singles, her latest with Sam Smith, "Dancing with a Stranger", reaching number 7 on the US Billboard Top 100 and number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.[1]
