Critical Reception[]
The song was described as a "self-acceptance" song.[1] The Guardian's Alexis Petridis said the song is "a laudably body-positive song on which listeners are advised to be themselves and love who they are," and he described it as "great, spare and vaguely sinister."[2] Amy McMahon, from Hotpress, said wrote "[The song is] an anthem for womankind of all shapes and sizes. A great tune, with an even better message. It calls on girls slim and thick to feel comfortable in their skin because we feel sexiest when confident."[3] Matt Collar from AllMusic calls the song an "En-Vogue-meets-Beyoncé jam."[4] Julian Baldsing of The Line of Best Fit wrote that the song "offer[s] commentary on everything from sexuality to slut-shaming while delivering the same undeniable head-rush that many of their past recordings offered."[5]
